Carter is a Lexington native who attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School and played football and lacrosse. He attended the University of Kentucky and worked as a student athletic trainer for Football, Baseball and Men’s Tennis. Additionally, he interned with the Dallas Cowboys as an athletic trainer working OTA’s, summer training camp and preseason games. He has earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and worked as full-time as a Physical Therapy Technician at UK HealthCare Sports Medicine. His journey and interest in the sport sciences started with him as a patient at UKHC Sports Rehabilitation Clinic with a sports related injury. After receiving care and witnessing the different areas of the sports science and fitness field he began searching for opportunities to utilize his skills and assist others. Carter has worked with clients of all ages; using his personal athletic experiences, education and innate characteristic to help others. As a personal trainer, he wants to share with clients the benefits of living an active, healthy lifestyle as well attending to their individual needs and goals. When it comes to health and fitness, He believes in sustainability and falling in love with the process over all else! Sure, there are great "12-week programs, 1-month challenges, 90-day transformations", but by the end of the day, when you finish that, what's next? Another 12-week program? When working with clients, He likes to build from the ground up. Instead of handing you a meal plan, he will teach you how to build your own meal plan and maintain your new active lifestyle
